Trap is a Doodad type in Broforce and the Expendabros with several variations.

Spike Trap

  • Spike Trap do damage to living character on contact and instantly kills.
  • To avoid death, sliding down terrain all the way into spikes will prevent of being stabbed.
  • A corpse on spikes can used as a platform without receiving any harm.
  • Its default spawn probability is 40%.
  • It can be destroyed by either gunfire or explosion that wrecks terrain under.

Mine Field

  • Mine Field explode shortly after any entity walks on it.
  • It can also be destroyed by shooting it's terrain or throwing someone at it.
  • Its default spawn probability is 40%.
  • Death can be avoided by quickly jumping off the triggered mine.

Saw Blade

  • Saw Blade can rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise.
  • They're either present hanging mid-air or are deployed. from a specific trap.
  • After being damaged or shot by a trap they fall and advance respectively to the right or the left of the screen, depending on rotation.
  • Moving saw blades can jump and damage terrain.
  • A moving saw blade can also be destroyed by shooting it, otherwise it dissipates shortly after.
  • Don't try to outrun a saw blade, it won't work. Hiding above is usually a good idea.
  • Any explosives that happen to get on a saw blade will instantly detonate, usually blowing them off in the process.
